专业沿革

2020年我校美术学专业获批国家级一流本科专业建设点。美术学专业分为美术史和美术教育两个专业方向。

美术史专业方向教学肇始于广州美术学院诞生之初的文艺理论教研组(1953年),后历经文艺理论教研室(1958年)、美术学系(1995年)、美术史系(2005年)三个发展阶段。2011年,艺术与人文学院在原有美术史专业方向基础上,新增设了艺术管理与策划专业方向,从而形成了美术史和艺术管理学两系并行发展的局面,美术史专业方向在这一新形势下也进一步探索理论与实践相结合、积极发掘自身优势的教学改革。目前办学地点为广州美术学院大学城校区。 

美术教育专业方向教学肇始于美术师范系(1981),美术师范系是全国八大美术学院中最早设立的本科美术教育专业教学机构,1989年更名为美术教育系,2010年又更名为美术教育学院。美术教育专业方向伴随着美术教育学院的历史沿革,迄今为止已有40年办学历史,美术教育家郭绍纲、水彩画大师王肇民、著名工艺美术家和国画家姜今,世界华人美术教育协会执委张幼云,国家美术课程标准研制组核心成员陈卫和等一大批名师曾为其创办与发展做出过重要贡献。目前办学地点为广州美术学院大学城校区。

Fine Arts Studies program was approved for the construction of national first-class undergraduate program in 2020. It offers two concentrations: Fine Arts History, and Fine Arts Education.
 
Fine Arts History began from the Literary Theory Teaching and Research Group in 1953 when GAFA was founded, which developed into the Literary Theory Teaching and Research Office in 1958, the Department of Fine Arts Studies in 1995, and the Department of Fine Arts History in 2005. Then in 2011, the School of Art and Humanities opened Art Management and Planning on the basis of Fine Arts History, so it offers two concentrations since then. Under this new situation, efforts are made to reform Fine Arts History by further combining theory and practice and giving full play to its advantages. Courses are taught at GAFA Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center Campus.
 
Fine Arts Education started from GAFA Department of Normal Fine Arts in 1981, the earliest fine arts education establishment for undergraduate students among China’s eight academies of fine arts. The department was renamed the Department of Fine Arts Education in 1989 and the School of Fine Arts Education in 2010. This concentration has been offered for 40 years. A number of famous teachers made important contributions to its establishment and growth, including fine arts educator Guo Shaogang, master of watercolor paintings Wang Zhaomin, famous master of industrial art and national painter Jiang Jin, Executive Committee member of the World Chinese Arts Education Association Zhang Youyun, and core member of the National Fine Art Courses Standard Development Team Chen Weihe. Courses are given at GAFA Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center Campus.

专业定位

美术史专业方向建立以来,以培养具有家国情怀、人文素质和专业技能的优秀人才为目标,近年来既注重粤港澳大湾区的特色定位,也注重对接国际学术与教育的全球视野。在迟轲、陈少丰诸位名师奠定的基础上,目前本专业的教学与科研在华南地区处于领先地位,享有国际声望。美术史专业方向以中西美术史教学为主,兼及全球美术史所涉及的各个地区、各个时段、各个领域,包括古代及现当代美术史个案研究,也包括美术理论及应用实践的多元探索。本专业培养具有较高人文素养的美术理论人才,就业方向包括大专院校、中小学校、博物馆、美术馆、出版部门、媒体部门、艺术机构等。

美术教育专业方向在成立之初,便确立了培养中小学美术师资和公共美术教育师资的宗旨,迄今已为社会培养各类毕业生和美育进修教师近万人。 

Since its establishment, Fine Arts History has aimed to cultivate outstanding talents with devotion to the country, humanistic quality and professional skills. In recent years, it adapts itself to the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and enhances its global perspective through international academic and education exchanges. Thanks to the efforts of famous teachers Chi Ke and Chen Shaofeng, this concentration has leading teaching and research strength in South China and enjoys international reputation. It focuses on Chinese and Western fine arts history, but also covers global fine arts history in different regions, periods and fields. There are both case studies of ancient, modern, contemporary fine arts history and diverse explorations of fine arts theories, applications. It trains professionals with good humanistic quality. And the career directions of graduates are colleges, universities, primary and secondary schools, museums, art galleries, publishing institutions, media institutions and art institutions.
 
Fine Arts Education has always aimed to cultivate fine arts teachers for primary and secondary schools as well as for public education. So far, nearly 10,000 students and teacher trainees have graduated.

美术史专业方向以《高等学校课程思政建设指导纲要》为指导,立足时代,充分发挥艺术学课程特有的思想教育功能,坚定文化自信,培养学生正确的艺术观与学术观。全面提升学生正确的审美和文化素养,为文博、出版、教育和文化传播等企事业部门培养从事美术学研究、批评鉴赏、艺术策划和美术教育的优秀人才。

美术教育专业方向坚持贯彻党的教育方针,以落实立德树人的根本任务,坚持社会主义办学方向,立足岭南、服务粤港澳大湾区、面向全国。专业秉承广州美术学院“直面当代,立中研西,以古鉴今,尊师重教”的办学理念,依据“师德与素养并推、理论与实践并举、美术与教育并重”的专业人才培养思路,致力引领美术基础教育的学科发展方向,着力培养能够从事中学美术教育教学工作的教师,以及文化、艺术等机构从事美术教学和管理的专门性、复合型美术教育优秀人才。

Fine Arts History strengths cultural confidence in the context of the new era, fosters a correct way of viewing art and academics among students, and improves students’ aesthetics and cultural literacy in an all-round manner. It cultivates outstanding fine arts research, criticism, appreciation, art planning and art education talents for enterprises and public institutions engaged in cultural heritage, museum studies, publishing, art planning, fine arts education, etc.
 
Based in Lingnan, Fine Arts Education serves the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and sets it sights on the whole country. It adheres to GAFA’s philosophy of “face up to the contemporary, use Western art for reference, learn from the past, respect teachers and value education” to train professionals that are “equally competent in morality and attainment, theory and practice, fine arts and education”. It is dedicated to leading the disciplinary development of basic education in fine arts, and training fine arts teachers for middle schools as well as compound fine arts education and management professionals for culture and art institutions.

美术学专业学制四年,授予艺术学学士学位。 

美术史专业方向学生应具备人文学科的思维方法、研究方法及创新精神;在独立思考、逻辑思辨及专业写作方面,具有较强的能力;能够从事人文研究工作和社会实践活动。包括如下素质:1、掌握美术史和美术理论研究的基础知识,具有系统的专业实践学习经历,了解本专业的前沿发展现状和趋势;2、具备较强的写作和语言表达能力,能够对美术作品及美术现象进行深入分析;3、掌握基本的研究方法,具有追求创新的态度和意识;4、掌握文献检索、资料查询及运用信息技术获取相关信息的基本方法;5、了解本专业相关的职业和行业动态,能够正确认识艺术在社会当中扮演的重要角色;6、具有较强的外语能力,具备国际视野和跨文化交流、竞争与合作的能力。

美术教育专业方向人才培养要具备的核心素养具体如下:1、崇德尚教。热爱祖国,拥护、贯彻与坚决执行党的教育方针,自觉践行社会主义核心价值观,具有教书育人、为人师表的坚定信念,立志做学生成长的引路人。2、学养深厚。有扎实的美术学学科专业知识和技能,有独到的艺术思维和艺术理解力,有深厚的文化底蕴和艺术表现力,能够在此基础上学以致用,解决美术课程教学中的实际问题,初步形成个人的教学风格特色。3、敏于育人。热爱教育事业,以学生发展为本位,通过专业手段“以美育人 以文化人”。4、精研勤思。有较强的自主学习能力,能够不断钻研新的教学理念与方法,追踪、把握美术教育学科前沿动态。5、共融发展。拥有终身学习的能力和专业发展意识,能够对美术教育职业进行长远规划,多方面塑造职业能力和素养,在行业内有较好的发展前景。

After finishing the 4-year program, students will be awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree.
 
Graduates of Fine Arts History should develop necessary thinking ability and innovative spirit, master research methods, acquire skills for independent thinking, logical speculation and writing, and be competent in humanities research and social practices. To be specific, they are expected to:
(1) master the basic knowledge of fine arts history and theories, receive systematic learning and practice, gain a command of the current status and cutting-edge trends of this concentration;
(2) possess good writing skills, develop the ability to analyze fine arts works and phenomena;
(3) master basic research methods, have an awareness of innovation;
(4) know how to retrieve literature, inquire data and obtain information using information technology;
(5) keep themselves updated with this profession and industry, correctly understand the role of art in the society;
(6) be competent in foreign language, gain international perspectives, and have the abilities for cross-cultural exchanges, competition and cooperation.
 
The core requirements on graduates of Fine Arts Education are:
(1) uphold morality, love the motherland, have a firm belief in imparting knowledge and educating people, be a model for their students, guide the growth of their students;
(2) command solid knowledge and skills of fine arts, have unique artistic thinking and artistic understanding ability, lay sound cultural foundation, be skilled in artistic expression, can solve practical problems in teaching, initially form personal teaching style;
(3) love teaching, pursue a career in education, devote themselves to the growth of students, “educate and enlighten students” through professional means;
(4) study on their own, explore new teaching concepts and methods, follow the dynamics of the discipline;
(5) have abilities for lifelong learning, consciously seek development, conduct long-term occupational planning, develop professional capabilities in various aspects, and have good career prospects.

Courses

课程体系

广州美术学院的美术史专业方向以中外美术史教学为主,兼及全球美术史所涉及的各地区、各时段、各领域,包括古代及现当代美术史个案研究、美术理论及应用实践的多元探索。美术史系核心课程有中国美术史、世界美术史、中国近现代美术史、中国艺术史学史、美术史方法论、西方现代艺术史、全球美术史专题、毕业论文等等,实践课程主要有艺术·技术·学术、展览与编辑、专业考察等。

美术教育专业方向教学由全校公共课和专业课程构成。全校公共课包括思想政治理论课、公共文化课、创新创业课、学科基础课、全校通选课,专业课程包括教师教育课程、专业基础课、专业拓展课。核心课程以该专业中最核心的理论和技能为内容的课程与实践教学相关课程有教育实习、教育见习、微格教学等。

Fine Arts History focuses on Chinese and Western fine arts history, but also covers global fine arts history in different regions, periods and fields. There are both case studies of ancient, modern, contemporary fine arts history and diverse explorations of fine arts theories, applications. The courses include Chinese Fine Arts History, World Fine Arts History, History of Modern Chinese Fine Arts, Chinese Art History, Fine Arts History Methodologies, Western Modern Art History, Topics on Global Fine Arts History, and Graduation Thesis, while practical teaching covers Art · Technology · Academics, Exhibition and Editing, and Professional Inspection.
 
Students of Fine Arts Education take both public courses and professional courses. The former covers public culture courses, innovation and entrepreneurship courses, basic courses, and general electives, while the latter includes teacher education courses, professional basic courses, and professional development courses. Core courses focus on theories and skills. Courses related to practical teaching include educational practice, educational internship, and micro-teaching.

Faculty

师资队伍

美术史专业方向为培养创新型复合人才,按照学科发展需要广泛吸纳人才,引进芝加哥大学、宾夕法尼亚大学、加拿大皇后大学、中央美术学院、中国美术学院、香港中文大学、中山大学等国内外知名高校的青年博士,在队伍方面组建了来自不同研究领域的高水平团队。如今,拥有一大批国内外著名的专家、教授、博士,在艺术史、艺术理论、艺术批评等学科方向有着优秀的研究、教学团队。美术史专业方向共有教师10人,45岁以下的青年教师100%取得博士学位。目前基本构建出梯队结构合理、研究方向全面、专业方向多元的教学团队。

美术教育专业方向现在专任教师数量结构能够适应本教学和发展的需要,拥有一支数量充足、结构合理、学科齐全、业务精良、学养丰厚、具有国际视野的教师队伍,目前有专业教师28人,正、副教授14名,获得博士学位10人,教师梯队结构合理、队伍稳定、素质良好。

By Fine Arts History, the school cultivates innovative talents with compound knowledge. It has brought in young doctors from renowned universities at home abroad according to the needs of disciplinary development, such as University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania, Queen’s University, Central Academy of Fine Arts, China Academy of Art, Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Sun Yat-sen University. Now the faculty consists of well-known experts, professors and doctors with outstanding capabilities in research and teaching of art history, art theories and art criticism. There are 10 teachers for Fine Arts History, of whom all of those aged under 45 have a doctoral degree. The faculty is well-structured and covers complete research directions.
 
Currently, full-time teachers of Fine Arts Education are well-structured, stable and can meet the needs of teaching and disciplinary development. They have excellent professional qualities, academic accomplishments and international vision. Of the 28 teachers, 14 are professor or associate professor, and 10 have a doctoral degree.

Teaching Facilities

教学条件

美术史专业方向现有教研室两间,课室四间,全部配备多媒体设备。建设集教具陈列室、画室、本科生自修室于一体的多功能教学陈列空间,与昌岗及大学城校区现有的人文学院图书馆和图像资料中心相互配套,组合成为华南地区最大、最有美院特色的专业图书、图像资料收藏、陈列综合体。满足200名以内本科学生的基本上课需要。策展实践教学实验室、虚拟交互线上展厅实验室、文创策划研发实验室正在积极论证引进中。设立广东省博物馆、广东美术馆、广东省科学中心、辛亥革命纪念馆、鸦片战争博物馆等十余家校外实习基地。

美术教育专业方向拥有基础教学技能实验室,教学专业技能实训平台、线观摩实验平台等,目前已形成了“科研促进教学、科研滋养教学”教学模式。推进现有基层教学组织运行和管理机制,形成了系统有效的教改项目孵化、教材研讨与编写等工作。

 Fine Arts History is equipped with two teaching and research offices and four classrooms, all of which have multimedia equipment. There is also a multi-purpose teaching display space that integrates the function of storage of teaching aids, art studio and self-study room. It together with the library in Changgang Campus and the image information center in Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center Campus forms the largest and most characteristic complex for collection and display of professional books and image in South China. These facilities allow the learning of up to 200 students. Preparations are being made to build a curatorial practice laboratory, an online exhibition laboratory based on virtual interactions, and a cultural and creative planning and development laboratory. More than ten off-campus internship bases are available for students, including Guangdong Museum, Guangdong Museum of Art, Guangdong Science Center, Memorial Museum of 1911 Revolution, and The Opium War Museum.
 
Teaching facilities for Fine Arts Education are a basic teaching skills laboratory, a teaching skills training platform, and an online observation experimental platform. The teaching mode is characterized by “mutual promotion between scientific research and teaching”. Teaching operation and management are being optimized on the basis of systematic and effective teaching reform project incubation, teaching materials discussion and preparation.

教学成果

美术学专业优化两年基础教育与两年专业与实践教育相结合的人才培养模式,为海内外文化事业培养了大量理论与应用并重的优质人才。近几年,通过有序建设、经费保障,在获批2016年广东省特色重点一级学科“艺术学理论”的基础上,涌现出大量教学质量改革成果:获省级教学成果奖一等奖1项,获省级精品资源共享课程3项,厅局级教学改革项目5项;搭建图像与历史高等研究院、岭南美术文化遗产协同创新研究中心、岭南美术与文化遗产研究中心、中国近现代美术研究所等6个省级平台和重点研究基地,以科研反哺教学,以教研合作服务社会,立足大湾区,深化与国际学界的交流合作。承办文旅部广彩瓷烧制技艺普及培训班等6个中国非物质文化遗产传承人群研修研习培训班,在广州塔畔的潮墟举办非遗研培学员结业成果展,取得较大社会效益。近年来,在各届“挑战杯”大赛、大学生创新创业训练计划评审中,学生项目获得省级以上立项和奖励15个。

This program optimizes two-year basic education and two-year practice education. It has trained many professionals good at both theory and practice. By virtue of orderly progress and funding guarantee, recent years has witnessed rich teaching quality reform results such as approval of Art Theory as a Guangdong provincial characteristic key first-class discipline in 2016, 1 provincial teaching achievement award, 3 provincial boutique resource sharing courses, and 5 department /bureau-level teaching reform projects. Six provincial platforms and key research bases have been built to boost teaching through research, serve the society with teaching and research, and deepen exchanges and cooperation with the global academic community. They include the Institute for Advanced Studies of Images and History, the Lingnan Art and Cultural Heritage Collaborative Innovation Research Center, the Lingnan Art and Cultural Heritage Research Center, and the China Research Institute of Modern Art. In addition, the school undertook 6 training sessions for Chinese intangible cultural heritage inheritors, including kwon-glazed porcelain firing techniques training sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. It also exhibited the works of intangible cultural heritage trainees in Chaoxu Market at the foot of the Canton Tower, having achieved great social benefits. Students received 15 awards at or above the provincial level in “Challenge Cup” contests and appraisal of college student innovation and entrepreneurial training plans.
