6月15-16日,由广州美术学院主办,绘画艺术学院、研究生院、国际合作与交流处承办的广东省研究生艺术实践与理论青年论坛系列之“艺术实践与理论——国际艺术策划与青年创作系统”学术论坛在广州美术学院昌岗校区设计大楼国际学术会议报告厅举办。本次论坛共邀请了国内外18名专家学者及9名青年艺术家,围绕“艺术策划”与“青年创作”问题展开讨论。
On June 15-16, the academic forum, "Art Practice and Theory - International Art Planning and Youth Creation System" one of the Guangdong Province Postgraduate Art Practice and Theory Youth Forum Series, hosted by Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and undertaken by the School of Painting and Drawing, Graduate School, and Foreign Affairs Office, was held in the International Academic Conference Lecture Hall of the Design Building of the Changgang Campus of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. A total of 18 experts and scholars from home and abroad and 9 young artists were invited to the forum to discuss the issues of "art planning" and "youth creation".

Cai Yonghua welcomed the guests from afar on behalf of GAFA. He pointed out that the special thing about this forum is that it has invited representative deans of art academies, directors of art galleries, famous scholars, curators, and artists from Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Ukraine and other countries, together with outstanding scholars and guests and young artists from China, to discuss art planning and youth creation with the theme of art practice and theory, and conduct in-depth communication and exchanges on related issues. As a frontier position for artistic experimental exploration and teaching reform in Guangdong and even the Greater Bay Area, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts has been working hard to spread ideological knowledge, inherit human culture and convey the responsibility of the times for many years. Under the dual force of global vision and local tension, it is believed that this forum will have a positive effect on the continuous promotion of internationalization and professionalization of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, as well as innovation, exchange and mutual learning of cultural ecology in South China.
论坛分两天举办,以主旨演讲、圆桌论坛、青年艺术家对谈等形式穿插进行,围绕艺术策划与创作两个维度的问题进行面对面学术交流。论坛共三场次:第一场和第三场分别由上半场主旨演讲、下半场圆桌论坛的形式构成;第二场是青年艺术家宣讲讨论会专场,由嘉宾与青年艺术家进行对谈。
The forum was held over two days, with keynote speeches, roundtable discussions, and conversations with young artists, to conduct face-to-face academic exchanges on issues in the two dimensions of art planning and creation. The forum had three sessions: the first and third sessions were composed of a keynote speech in the first half and a roundtable discussion in the second half; the second session was a special session for young artists to promote and discuss, with guests and young artists having conversations.
刘可介绍了本次论坛的场次安排以及形式。他期待通过现场对话平台的交流,打破艺术创作与展览策划之间的壁垒,引发思想碰撞,唤醒问题意识,共论学术前沿话题,从而保持学界对当下艺术问题探讨的活跃度和敏锐度。
Liu Ke introduced the forum’s schedule and format. He hopes that through the on-site dialogue platform, the barriers between artistic creation and exhibition planning can be broken, ideas can be exchanged, awareness of problems can be awakened, and cutting-edge academic topics can be discussed, thus maintaining the academic community’s activeness and sensitivity in discussing current art issues.
第一位主讲嘉宾是法国阿维尼翁艺术学院校长、法国艺术史学者、艺术批评家摩根·拉巴尔,他作了题为《创作实践与策展理论:艺术实践研究的新视角》的主旨演讲,以在地性情境主义的视角分享了阿维尼翁高等艺术学院关于文化艺术创造和文化保护、文化修复的一系列实践项目和研究理论。
The first keynote speaker was Morgan Labar, president of École supérieure d’art d’Avignon, French art historian and art critic. He delivered a keynote speech entitled "Creative Practice and Curatorial Theory: A New Perspective on Art Practice Research", sharing a series of practical projects and research theories of École supérieure d’art d’Avignon on cultural and artistic creation, cultural protection, and cultural restoration from the perspective of local situationism.
第55届威尼斯双年展意大利国家馆策展人,曾任意大利国立21世纪艺术博物馆MAXXI艺术馆总监的巴托洛梅奥·皮特罗马尔基作了题为《当代艺术博物馆的战略和文化政策:以罗马MAXXI美术馆和拉奎拉MAXXI 美术馆为例》的主旨演讲。他以罗马MAXXI美术馆和拉奎拉MAXXI美术馆的一些项目作为案例,分享了如何通过战略性的眼光和思维去运营和开展在艺术馆里面的艺术和文化项目,运用不同的策展方法和运营方法,以不同的艺术种类去连接本地以及国际化的文本和情境,让观众和访客沉浸在策展项目当中,去拥有不同凡响的独特体验。
Bartolomeo Pietromarchi, curator of the Italian National Pavilion of the 55th Venice Biennale and former director of the MAXXI Museum, Museo nazionale delle arti del XXI secolo, delivered a keynote speech entitled "Strategy and Cultural Policy of Contemporary Art Museums: Taking the MAXXI Museum in Rome and the MAXXI Museum in L'Aquila as Examples". He used some projects of the MAXXI Museum in Rome and the MAXXI Museum in L'Aquila as examples to share how to operate and carry out art and cultural projects in art museums through strategic vision and thinking, use different curatorial and operational methods, and connect local and international texts and contexts with different art types, so that audiences and visitors can immerse themselves in curatorial projects and have extraordinary and unique experiences.
第三场主讲嘉宾是德国艺术史家、策展人,苏黎世大学博士赛丽玛·妮格尔。她的主旨演讲题为《艺术策划与创作的发展:从个体的案例聚焦二十世纪五六十年代欧洲艺术趋势》,重点讨论了二十世纪五六十年代奥托·范·德卢、加利齐奥的艺术活动对慕尼黑城市乃至整个前卫艺术的影响,以及当代回顾性展览策划与艺术创作的启示性。
The third speaker was German art historian, curator, and PhD of the University of Zurich, Selima Niggle. Her keynote speech was titled "The Development of Art Planning and Creation: Focusing on European Art Trends in the 1950s and 1960s from Individual Cases", focusing on the impact of Otto van der Loo and Gallizio's artistic activities in the 1950s and 1960s on the city of Munich and even the entire avant-garde art, as well as the enlightenment of contemporary retrospective exhibition planning and artistic creation.
意大利卡拉拉美术学院法比奥·卡瓦卢奇的主旨演讲题目为《国际艺术的概况:现有模式的危机与革新试验》。他结合当前许多国际重要艺术家、建筑师如蔡国强、Maurizio Cattelan(莫瑞吉奥·卡特兰)、Paul McCarthy(保罗·麦卡锡)、Mario Merz(马里奥·梅尔茨)、Zaha Hadid(扎哈·哈迪德)等既有创作模式,提出如何突破既定的思维模式、创作方式,进行有效的艺术实验。
Fabio Cavallucci of Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrar in Italy gave a keynote speech entitled "Overview of International Art: Crisis of Existing Models and Innovative Experiments". He combined the existing creative models of many important international artists and architects such as Cai Guoqiang, Maurizio Cattelan, Paul McCarthy, Mario Merz, Zaha Hadid, etc., and proposed how to break through the established thinking patterns and creative methods to conduct effective artistic experiments.
第五场主旨演讲由乌克兰奥列克西·科瓦尔主讲,演讲题目是《青年艺术家在新语境中如何对话“德国艺术小组:美丽公式的语言系统”》,重点讨论青年艺术家如何在当代语境中进行语言系统的改造与探索。
The fifth keynote speech was delivered by Oleksiy Koval from Ukraine. The title of the speech was "How Young Artists Dialogue with the ‘German Art Group: The Language System of Beautiful Formula’ in the New Context", focusing on how young artists can transform and explore the language system in the contemporary context.
波兰的斯坦尼斯瓦夫·鲁克萨进行了最后一场主旨演讲,题目为《未来策展发展展望与应对“后机构—语境造就文本”》,提出后机构应该成为艺术史的实验场的观点,为艺术过程的实验和展出以及为知识的生产和测试提供空间。
Stanisław Ruksa from Poland gave the last keynote speech entitled "Prospects for Future Curatorial Development and Responses to "Post-Institution - Context Creates Text"," in which he proposed that post-institutions should become experimental fields for art history, providing space for experimentation and exhibition of artistic processes and for the production and testing of knowledge.
圆桌论坛分别由刘可、胡斌主持。围绕“现代策展的发展前景和挑战”主题,讨论嘉宾分别从个人的策展工作案例出发,以“新科技与新艺术的融合”“跨媒介与跨语境的交流”等关键词,讨论当下全球策展和创作所呈现的新形势、新发展趋向,提出策展的本土性、当代性与国际化所遭遇的问题与挑战,讨论现代艺术策展的问题与情境。
The roundtable forum was hosted by Liu Ke and Hu Bin. Focusing on the theme of "The development prospects and challenges of modern curatorial work", the discussion guests started from their personal curatorial work cases, and discussed the new situation and new development trends of global curatorial and creation with keywords such as "the integration of new technology and new art" and "communication across media and contexts", raised the problems and challenges encountered by the localization, contemporaneity and internationalization of curatorial work, and discussed the problems and situations of modern art curatorial work.
青年艺术家宣讲讨论会专场由9位艺术家分别宣讲个人艺术创作实践,随后,由嘉宾进行点评讨论。国内外嘉宾不仅对青年艺术家们作品的创作逻辑、思维方式、观察视角以及作品呈现的问题与情感等作深入评述,同时聚焦如何在艺术历史的上下文情境当中,从历史与现状、解构与重塑、技术与美学等方面,讨论了青年艺术家与策展人、美术馆之间如何互动与联系等议题,尤其是跨地域性、跨国际化之间的艺术链接与合作。
The Young Artists’ Lecture and Discussion Session was held by 9 artists who presented their personal artistic creation practices, followed by comments and discussions by the guests. Domestic and foreign guests not only gave in-depth comments on the creative logic, thinking methods, observation perspectives, and problems and emotions presented in the works of young artists, but also focused on how to interact and connect with curators and art galleries in the context of art history, from the aspects of history and current situation, deconstruction and reconstruction, technology and aesthetics, etc., especially the cross-regional and cross-international artistic links and cooperation.
最后,胡斌对国际论坛进行总结。他表示,此次论坛邀请了多位国际策展人、艺术管理者、艺术批评家、艺术史家、艺术家,以问题为导向,以国际化的视野分析艺术界的现状和特点,通过青年艺术家与策展人的对话,共同开展具有前瞻性、创新性的探讨,以期回应时代创新背景下当代艺术的发展之问和突围之路。此次论坛不仅是知识与观点的汇聚,更是对未来艺术发展趋势的启示和展望。
Finally, Hu Bin summarized the forum. He said that the forum invited many international curators, art managers, art critics, art historians, and artists to analyze the current situation and characteristics of the art world with an international perspective, and through dialogues between young artists and curators, jointly conduct forward-looking and innovative discussions in order to respond to the development of contemporary art and the path to breakthrough in the context of innovation in the era. This forum is not only a gathering of knowledge and views, but also an inspiration and prospect for the future development trend of art.
