绘画专业以“人才引领，学术引领，价值引领”为基石，以“方法论引领创作，学术展推动教学”为路径，注重价值导向与文化传承，尊重艺术规律与学理研究，不断强化对绘画本体语言的研究。坚持教学、创作与科研并重，以海洋文化视野，秉承岭南文化先锋精神，坚持以人民为中心的创作导向，主动对接国家文化战略，引领粤港澳大湾区美术发展，以建设国家一流专业为目标，博士点建设为契机，打造中国绘画艺术人才培养的新高地。

The program emphasizes the development of talents, academics and values, and strives to advance creation through methodologies, and push ahead with teaching with academic exhibitions. We are dedicated to cultural inheritance and academic research, especially in Painting. We pay equal attention to teaching, creation and research, bearing in mind marine culture and Lingnan culture. Putting our students first, we respond to the national cultural strategies, and lead the art development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. With the goal of building a national first-class program and the launch of a doctoral program, the program will scale new heights in training Chinese painting and art talents.

广州美术学院绘画专业教育，旨在培养造型基础和思维基础扎实，具有本土情怀和国际视野、问题意识和思辨能力、洞察力和感知力、创造力和综合表达能力、德才兼备和责任担当，适应当代社会发展需求，具有创新精神和实践能力的复合型美术人才。

The program aims to train all-round, empathetic, creative, pragmatic, expressive, ethical and responsible art talents endowed with the capacity to reason, who can act globally and think locally. They can also spot problems, think critically, and adapt to social development.

学分学制

知识要求：
（1） 基本知识：包括基础理论知识，与本专业相关的人文社科知识和一定的外语、计算机与信息技术应用、论文写作等工具性知识。
（2） 专业知识：掌握造型规律和绘画艺术创作的基本规律，具备一定的专业基础理论和知识，了解绘画的前沿发展现状和趋势。

能力要求：
（1） 认知能力：掌握艺术感知力和本体语言研究的基本方法，具有对于绘画对象进行认知和调研的能力。
（2） 分析能力：掌握绘画作品分析的基本方法，具有问题意识和思辨能力，对绘画问题进行探索与研究的能力。
（3） 创作能力：掌握艺术创作方法，具有综合运用专业知识与多种艺术语言进行绘画创作的综合表达能力。

素质要求
（1） 基本素质：具有良好的思想政治素养、强烈的社会责任感和担当意识、良好的身体素质和心理素质。

Intelligence Requirements

(1) Basic knowledge including basic theoretical knowledge, knowledge of humanities and social sciences related to Painting, and some “instrumental” knowledge such as foreign languages, computer and information technology applications, and thesis writing.
(2) Professional knowledge including the patterns of artistic creation, basic professional theories and knowledge, and understanding of cutting-edge development of Painting.

Competence Requirements

(1) Cognitive ability: Master the basic methods of artistic perception and research, and have the ability to recognize and study painting.
(2) Analytical ability: Master the basic methods of analyzing paintings, have critical thinking ability, and have the ability to explore and research painting problems.
(3) Creative ability: Master artistic creation methodologies, and able to use professional knowledge and various artistic languages for creation.

绘画艺术学院下设“三系一部”，分别是油画系、版画系、水彩画系与绘画艺术基础部，由此而形成了各专业交叉融合的集群优势，造就出特色鲜明、和而不同的学术共同体，使得油画、版画、水彩及绘画基础教学与研究齐头并进。

根据各专业方向的教学要求与人才培养目标，学院搭建出层次丰富的人文平台，有效加强艺术通识教育，在多年的积淀与探索下，形成了系统科学、特色鲜明的课程体系。

Our School has four departments, namely the Department of Oil Painting, the Department of Printmaking, the Department of Watercolor Painting and the Department of Basic Painting Art, creating a distinctive, harmonious and diverse academic community, which enables the convergence of teaching and research in various areas.

Based on the teaching requirements and objectives of each department, the School has built a platform to strengthen the general education of art. After years of exploration, we have developed a systematic and scientific curriculum system with distinctive features.

绘画专业现有专任教师78人，本科生与专任教师比约为10:1，高级职称教师占比57.7%，绘画专业师资结构合理，水平出众，建设成效显著，高层次人才不断涌现，拥有一批在国内有着重要影响力的艺术名家，并柔性引进了一批国内顶级学者与艺术家。近五届全国美展获多项金、银、铜奖。近五年获各类创作奖过百项；主持国家艺术基金项目及国家级创作课题，成果丰硕。师资队伍涵盖二级教授、国务院政府津贴专家、国家级课程思政示范团队、“广东特支计划”教学名师、宣传思想文化领军与青年文化英才、广东省“十百千工程”培养对象、省级教学及创新科研团队。

We have 78 full-time teachers. The ratio of undergraduate students to full-time teachers is about 10:1. Teachers with senior professional titles account for 57.7%. Our well-structured and outstanding faculty is composed of renowned artists with great influence in China, and we have recruited top-notch scholars and artists in China. We have won multiple gold, silver and bronze awards at the National Exhibition of Fine Arts and more than a hundred awards over the past five years. We have presided over China National Art Fund projects and national-level creative projects, achieving fruitful results. Our team has professors, experts subsidized by the State Council, Guangdong provincial renowned teachers, young cultural talents, participants of Guangdong’s talent training project, as well as teaching and innovative researchers.
