专业沿革

广州美术学院积极响应国家政策和号召、根据自身学科发展的优势，秉承艺术与科技融合的建设基础，以艺术品修复为核心，联合国际资源，致力于建立文物艺术品保护修复学科标准，搭建国际领先，国内一流的文物保护与修复跨学科教育平台。该专业现有材料与油画修复、艺术品保护与修复、传统书画保存修复三个专业方向。

2016年设立的材料与油画修复专业方向填补了国内公立高等美术院校在此领域的空白，2020年设立艺术品保护与修复专业方向。广州美术学院在国内众多的艺术院校中发挥了“改革先锋”的作用，引领了文物保护与修复教育的发展。

2019年成立“传统书画保存修复”专业方向，传统书画的修复与保护是我国传统文化的重要组成部分之一，为了肩起新的历史使命，构建中国传统艺术文化新的增长点，因此将美学、美术学、自然科学、保存学、材料学等进行多学科交叉。该专业现于我校大学城校区办学。

We actively integrate art and science for artwork restoration according to national policies and GAFA’s academic advantages. We are committed to pioneering cultural relics and artwork conservation and restoration, and hope to build this program into a world-leading interdisciplinary education platform. 3 concentrations are offered: Material and Oil Painting Restoration, Artwork Conservation and Restoration, and Traditional Painting and Calligraphy Preservation and Restoration.

Material and Oil Painting Restoration was started in 2016, which filled the gaps of China’s public art universities in this regard. Artwork Conservation and Restoration was launched in 2020, which made GAFA a pioneering art academy in China to specialize in cultural relics conservation and restoration.

Traditional Painting and Calligraphy Preservation and Restoration was launched in 2019. It is an integral part of traditional Chinese culture. To fulfill the new historical mission and foster new growth momentum for traditional Chinese art and culture, we integrate aesthetics, fine art, natural science, preservation science and material science in this program.

Courses for this program are given at GAFA Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center Campus.

Vision

专业定位

本专业着力探索艺术与科技交融发展的专业建设路径，积极回应时代与社会对高等美术教育的要求；在借鉴发达国家已成熟的教学体系与技术方法的同时，也根据中国艺术品的“与众不同”：特殊的气候、历史进程、艺术形式、艺术材质和市场现状等，不断探索跨学科教学模式，建立有中国特色的艺术品保护与修复体系。

We strive to develop through art-science integration and actively meet contemporary social requirements for higher art education. While referring to mature teaching systems and techniques of developed countries, we explore interdisciplinary teaching models and establish an artwork conservation and restoration system with Chinese characteristics according to “distinctive” characteristics of Chinese artworks formed by special climate, historical process, art form, art material and market.

培养目标

本专业旨在培养有能力开展文物保护与修复操作的专业人员，通过4年专业学习，学生能够广泛了解艺术史和文化遗产发展史，遵守保护修复职业道德规范，建立科学的修复理念，具备独立分析和解决艺术品保护与修复学科理论、实践问题能力。毕业后能胜任相关企事业科研、教学、艺术品保护修复、鉴定和实践等工作，以及文化产业的各种策划和衍生性艺术事务。

Our goal is to train conservation and restoration professionals who, after 4 years’ study, can know the history of art and cultural heritage, abide by professional ethics, establish a scientific restoration mentality and analyze and solve theoretical and practical problems in artwork conservation and restoration independently. Upon graduation, our students are expected to take up scientific research, teaching, artwork conservation and restoration, authentication and practice, as well as various planning and derivative art affairs in the cultural industry.

Curriculum Design

培养规格

文物保护与修复专业学制四年，授予艺术学学士学位。

材料与油画修复、艺术品保护与修复两个专业方向，要求学生有较好的文理科基础，较高的文化分，同时具备良好的思想品德和美术修养，富于钻研、进取、创新精神。掌握“文物保护与修复”的基础、专业特点、专业技术、专业研究规律、理论修养等方面的基本知识及能力；具有较全面的文化素养，较高的艺术修养和审美鉴赏能力，并能掌握一门外语。传统书画保存修复专业方向要求学生具有良好的思想品德和美术修养，富于钻研、进取、创新精神。掌握绘画基础、“传统书画保存修复”基础、专业特点、专业技术、专业研究规律、理论修养等方面的基本知识及能力；具有较全面的文化素质，较高的传统艺术修养和民族审美鉴赏能力，并能基本掌握一门外语。毕业后能胜任有关企事业单位的科研、教学、管理保护、创作、设计、展示宣传、艺术修复、鉴定和实践等工作以及文化产业的各种策划和衍生性艺术事务。

This 4-year program grants the bachelor’s degree of arts.

Material and Oil Painting Restoration and Artwork Conservation and Restoration students should have solid knowledge of art and science, high academic scores, good ideology and morality, fine art quality and the resolution to work hard, keep moving forward and make innovation. Besides the basic knowledge about the features, techniques, research methods and theories of cultural relics conservation and restoration, students should have comprehensive cultural quality, artistic quality and aesthetic appreciation capabilities. Mastery of a foreign language is also required.

Traditional Painting and Calligraphy Preservation and Restoration students should have good ideology, morality and art quality, as well as the resolution to work hard, keep moving forward and make innovation. Besides the basic knowledge about the features, techniques, research methods and theories of traditional painting and calligraphy preservation and restoration, students should have comprehensive cultural quality, traditional art quality and aesthetic appreciation capabilities for national art. Mastery of a foreign language is also required. Upon graduation, our students are expected to take up scientific research, teaching, management, conservation, creation, design, exhibition, communication, art restoration, authentication and practice, as well as various planning and derivative art affairs in the cultural industry.

Courses

课程体系

本专业材料与油画修复、艺术品保护与修复两个专业方向参照国际文化遗产保护与修复行业联盟职业准则，在教学中强调对科学严谨工作态度的培养，课程涵盖绘画、临摹、艺术理论、保护与修复的基本理念原则、修复技术和材料的应用、科学检测分析等多方面的内容。实践环节的主要核心课程：国内外专家工作坊、作品状况分析、修复实践、科学实验分析、保护实践、文化遗产考察、绘画材料学等。

传统书画保存修复专业方向课程体系上划分为公共与基础课程、专业课程、全校通选课及创新创业选修课等四类课程，主要课程包括：核心课程体系有：传统材料与技法、保存摹写（一）、保存摹写（二）、科学分析技术、装裱与修复基础、保存摹写（三）、装裱技术、修复技术、保存摹写（四）、装裱实践、修复实践、保存摹写专题、毕业修复专题、毕业论文、毕业研究（摹写·装裱）等。实践教学内容包括传统书画的科学调查、修理实践、织物染色技法、书画装裱、保存摹写、摄影基础、作品科学调查、博物馆美术馆馆藏作品的田野调查等。

Material and Oil Painting Restoration and Artwork Conservation and Restoration adopt the professional ethics specified by the International Cultural Heritage Conservation and Restoration Alliance. In teaching, we emphasize a scientific and rigorous work attitude. Courses cover painting, facsimile painting, art theory, basic conservation and restoration concepts and principles, applications of restoration techniques and materials, scientific testing and analysis, etc. Core courses for practice include Chinese and International Experts’ Workshop, Works Condition Analysis, Restoration Practice, Scientific Experiment Analysis, Conservation Practice, Cultural Heritage Investigation, Painting Material Science, etc.

Traditional Painting and Calligraphy Preservation and Restoration courses consist of public and basic courses, specialized courses, general elective courses and elective innovation and entrepreneurship courses. Major courses include: Core courses: Traditional Materials and Techniques, Facsimile Painting for Preservation (I), Facsimile Painting for Preservation (II), Scientific Analysis Techniques, Basic Knowledge of Mounting and Restoration, Facsimile Painting for Preservation (III), Mounting Techniques, Restoration Techniques, Facsimile Painting for Preservation (IV), Mounting Practice, Restoration Practice, Facsimile Painting for Preservation Feature Course, Restoration Feature Course (Graduation), Graduation Thesis, Graduation Research (Facsimile Painting·Mounting), etc. Practice courses include Scientific Investigation of Traditional Painting and Calligraphy, Restoration Practice, Fabric Dyeing Techniques, Painting and Calligraphy Mounting, Facsimile Painting for Preservation, Basic Knowledge of Photography, Scientific Investigation of Works, Field Investigation of Works Collected in Museums and Art Galleries, etc.

Faculty

师资队伍

文物保护与修复属于实践和研究并重专业，材料与油画修复、艺术品保护与修复两个专业方向教师队伍20名具有艺术、化学、材料技术、艺术史、考古学或人类学等综合背景，专任教师在各自专业研究领域建树颇丰、实践经验丰富。教学团队专职教师与兼职教师比为7:3，其中兼职教授来自意大利、法国等文物保护与修复行业领先国家，与学校建立长期的合作关系，且均为双师型人才，参与“国内外专家工作坊”课程。

传统书画保存修复专业方向专业教师17名，以中青年为中坚的具有较高学术造诣和教学水平的教师队伍，以“研究带教学”的研究教学型人才培养模式为基础，“本科生参与科研活动，早进课题、早进实验室、早进团队”的教学团队，专职教师与兼职教师比为9:7。

Cultural Relics Protection and Restoration values both practice and research. Material and Oil Painting Restoration and Artwork Conservation and Restoration boast 20 teachers with interdisciplinary experiences in art, chemistry, material technology, art history, archaeology or anthropology. Our full-time teachers have made great achievements in professional research and have rich practical experience. As for all the teachers, 70% are full-time teachers and 30% are part-time teachers. The latter come from Italy, France and other leading countries in cultural relics conservation and restoration and have established long-term cooperative relations with GAFA. These double-qualified talents also join the Chinese and International Experts’ Workshop.

Traditional Painting and Calligraphy Conservation and Restoration is staffed by 17 teachers led by young teachers with outstanding academic accomplishments and teaching capabilities. We adopt the training mode “training research and teaching talents through research”. Undergraduate students will join scientific research activities, projects and research teams and do experiments in laboratories early. As of all the teachers, 9 are full-time teachers and 7 are part-time teachers.

Teaching Facilities

教学条件

本专业材料与油画修复、艺术品保护与修复专业方向教学空间充足，实践和观摩手段丰富。按国际标准建成的实验室具备完善的环境系统及安全消防设施，功能区分合理。同时实验室配备检查、清洗、拆分、矫正、化学和上色等各类先进的专业修复设备、及科学分析仪器，总值约600万。另外，专业与北京、上海、广州等地区行业相关单位，共同建设了艺术品类文物保护与修复实践教学基地，更进一步完善专业实践教学体系。

传统书画保存修复专业方向具有特色的实践性教材与扩充性教材，建成了集纸质与电子、静态与动态的图书和网络多种资源的教学资源库，包括课程标准、教学内容、科学实验、实践与实习教学指导和学习评估方案等。其中有纸质与电子库的课程教学标准库和教案课件库，含课程标准、课程教学大纲、考核大纲等。校内设有先进和专业的设施设备仪器和完备而合理的科研系统与共享平台，建立了便于学生自主学习的实验实训室。校外建立了符合课程教学要求的校外实践教学基地，如美术馆、博物馆和图书馆等建立了合作机制。

Material and Oil Painting Restoration and Artwork Conservation and Restoration give courses through rich practice and observation channels at sufficient teaching venues. The laboratory built in accordance with international standards is equipped with mature environmental systems and fire safety facilities as well as reasonably arranged functional zones. In addition, there are advanced professional restoration equipment and scientific analysis instruments totally worth about 6 million yuan for inspection, cleaning, separation, correction, chemical and dyeing. Furthermore, we have cooperated with relevant institutions in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou to build practical teaching bases for artistic cultural relics conservation and restoration, which further improves our practical teaching system.

Traditional Painting and Calligraphy Conservation and Restoration uses characteristic practical and complementary textbooks. We have built up a teaching resource library that integrates paper and electronic, static and dynamic books and network resources, including curriculum standards, teaching content, scientific experiments, practice and practice teaching guidance, and learning assessment schemes. The curriculum standard library and the teaching plan and courseware library with both paper and electronic materials offer curriculum standards, curriculum syllabus, assessment syllabus, etc. GAFA is also equipped with advanced and professional facilities, equipment and instruments, mature and reasonable scientific research systems and sharing platforms. The experiment and training room help students study independently. There are also off-campus practical teaching bases jointly established with art galleries, museums and libraries.

Achievements

教学成果

材料与油画修复、艺术品保护与修复两个专业方向深入发展艺术品修复实践，建设首个省级艺术品保护修复重点实验室，省级实验教学示范中心1项、国家级教学改革项目1项。承担国内外高级别保护修复类社会实践项目15项。2019年完成国家艺术基金人才培养“油画保护与修复科技手段应用”及中国国家博物馆进修项目，为北京故宫博物院等多所高校及文博机构培训了24位专业人才。已建设4个实践教学基地，学生创新能力不断提升，参与省级以上创新创业项目5项；专业获得国家纵向课题3项，省部级、厅级计十余项，横向课题4项。

Material and Oil Painting Restoration and Artwork Conservation and Restoration further promote artwork restoration practice and have made fruitful achievements, such as the first provincial key laboratory for artwork conservation and restoration, 1 provincial experimental teaching demonstration center, 1 national teaching reform project and 15 Chinese and international high-level conservation and restoration projects for social practice. In 2019, the talent training program “Applications of Oil Painting Conservation and Restoration Technology” under the China National Arts Fund and National Museum of China were accomplished, with 24 professionals trained for universities and cultural museums, such as the Palace Museum in Beijing. In 4 practical teaching bases, students keep improving innovation capabilities. For example, our students joined 5 provincial and higher-level innovation and entrepreneurship projects. This program has won 3 national government-sponsored projects, more than 10 provincial and ministerial projects, and 4 enterprise-sponsored projects.
