History

专业沿革

本专业始于1991 年的"高等设计教育"专业,1999年“新媒介设计专业”(方向)正式招生,成为国内最早开展新媒体艺术设计教育的学校,2012年改为“数字媒体艺术专业”招生,2020年成为广东省级一流本科专业建设点,2021软科中国大学专业排名,广州美院数字媒体艺术排名12。本专业办学地点为广州美术学院大学城校区。

This program can be traced back to Higher Design Education program initiated in 1991. In 1999, New Media Design program (concentration) was officially open for students, making GAFA the first school to offer new media art design education in China. In 2012, it was renamed Digital Media Art. In 2020, it was selected for the construction of provincial first-class undergraduate program in Guangdong Province. It ranked 12th in 2021 Shanghai Ranking’s Academic Ranking of World Universities. Now courses are offered at Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center Campus.

本专业立足于粤港澳大湾区,放眼世界,以“国际一流数字艺术教育”为发展目标,始终坚持艺科融合的办学特色,现已拓展成为跨学科跨领域教学研究体系、涵盖数字媒体艺术、数字影像、数字展演等多个领域的设计学科,培养具备国际视野与创新能力的复合型、应用型设计人才。

Based in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, we strive to go to the world. With “world-class digital art education” as our development goal, we always adhere to art-science integration. Now, we have become an interdisciplinary teaching and research system covering digital media art, digital imaging, digital performance and so on. We will prepare compound and application-oriented design talents with international vision and innovation capabilities.

根据本专业国家一流数字人才培养目标的设定,围绕国家及粤港澳大湾区发展战略和社会文化产业需求,通过迭代教学理念,按照社会文化与产业的人才需求,以创新人才培养为导向,构建以“3+1”为特征的多元开放的教学模式,不断优化课程结构,加强新文科和课程思政建设,推进“数字艺术教学科研实验平台”建设,探索综合实验教学平台的社会化协作机制,加强产教深度融合,加强创新创业教育,突出实践能力培养,提升人才培养质量。

Our goal is to prepare first-rate digital art talents to serve the country, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the social and cultural industry. We keep upgrading our teaching idea and training innovative talents for the social and cultural industry. Based on the “3+1” diversified and open teaching mode, we optimize our curriculum structure, strengthen the construction of new liberal arts, advance the construction of a teaching, scientific research and experiment platform for digital art and explore the social collaboration mechanism as a comprehensive experimental teaching platform. By deepening production-education integration and strengthening innovation and entrepreneurship education, we train students’ practical capabilities and improve talent training.

培养规格

数字媒体艺术专业人才的培养要结合学科特点,要以中华优秀传统文化为核心,挖掘提炼专业发展命脉中所蕴含的思想价值和精神内涵,结合现代信息科技融合的创新发展。培养能熟练运用数字技术、互动硬件设备及数码设计软件,从事数字媒体空间展示、数字影像、声光电综合媒介、网络互动等设计领域的工作,满足在科技与艺术日益融合的发展趋势中,创意产业对数字媒体、互动设计与数字影像设计能力兼备的人才需求。

Based on the characteristics of this program and fine traditional Chinese culture, we explore ideological values and spiritual connotations of this discipline and strive for innovative development combined with modern information technology. We aim to prepare talents who can skillfully use the digital technology, interactive digital design software, and hardware equipment and take up digital media space display, digital images, sound and light comprehensive media, network interaction and so on, and serve the creative industry with digital media, interactive design and digital image design against the background of increasing science-art integration.

课程体系

数字媒体艺术专业核心课程注重专业特色,包括《立体造型》《光构成》《数字媒体形式风格》《光影艺术设计》《编程语言》《音画设计》《AR艺术设计》《数字舞台灯光设计》《3D Mapping》《跨媒体文化研究与实践》《新媒体展示空间》《公共艺术与媒体设计》。其中《立体造型》注重数字技术与岭南文化的结合,《数字媒体形式风格》《3D Mapping》评为校级一流课程,《光影艺术设计》为课程思政示范课程,《AR艺术设计》为课程思政示范课堂。

Our core courses mainly interpret disciplinary characteristics, including 3D Modeling, Light Composition, Digital Media Forms and Styles, Light and Shadow Art Design, Programming Language, Music and Painting Design, AR Art Design, Digital Stage Lighting Design, 3D Mapping, Cross-media Cultural Research and Practice, New Media Exhibition Space, and Public Art and Media Design. 3D Modeling combines digital technology and Lingnan culture. Digital Media Forms and Styles and 3D Mapping are rated as first-class courses at the university level.

Faculty

师资队伍

本专业通过引进高学历教师,改善学历结构,构建一支“结构合理、专业能力强”的跨学科师资团队。现有专任教师13人,包括正教授1人,副教授5人(含外教1名)、讲师7人,其中博士生导师2人,研究生导师5人,6人具有留学背景,学缘结构呈现跨学科交叉趋势。推进“教学名师”“双师型”教师以及年轻教师培养等举措,促进师资团队教学科研能力的整体提升。

We invite teachers with excellent academic qualifications to upgrade our faculty team and have built an interdisciplinary faculty team with a reasonable structure and outstanding professional capabilities. Now we have 13 full-time teachers, including 1 professor, 5 associate professors (including 1 international teacher), 7 lecturers, 2 doctoral supervisors, 5 postgraduate supervisors and 6 teachers with overseas study and cross-disciplinary experiences. By advancing the training of famous teachers, double-qualified teachers and young teachers, we improve our overall teaching and research capabilities.

Teaching Facilities

教学条件

数字媒体专业隶属广州美术学院视觉艺术设计学院,学院现有3000㎡专用多媒体课室及行政用房、“摄影实验室” “图书资料室”,专业多媒体课室共10间,以及校外实践基地2个,科产教联合实践基地1个。可依托学校设备先进的“虚拟仿真实验室”、为AR\VR实验、光投影实验、电子交互实验、数字影像采集与处理等教学提供有力支持。

Digital Media is affiliated to the School of Visual Art Design, GAFA. The school has professional multimedia classrooms covering 3,000 ㎡ and 10 administrative rooms, photography laboratory, library and multimedia classrooms, as well as 2 off-campus practice bases and 1 joint science-industry-education practice base. The advanced virtual simulation laboratory supports AR/VR experiments, light projection experiments, electronic interactive experiments, digital image acquisition and processing and other teaching activities.

教学成果

(1)专业课程《新加坡南洋理工学院工作坊》获得2019广州美术学院教学成果奖三等奖; 

(2)师生作品《粤能量》《启航》《穿粤传奇》获2014、2015、2018广州国际灯光节创意灯光作品大赛一等奖;《花钟》获2018新加坡国际灯光节三等奖;
 
(3)学生作品《重返桃花源》获得2020“汇创青春”国际新媒体艺术分赛“动态影像艺术奖”;《基于3D打印技术的岭南元素文创灯具设计》获得2020国家级大学生创新创业训练计划项目;《泡泡机》获得2018年广东省大学生“攀登计划”科技创新培育“重点项目”,并获 “实用新型专利”1项。  

(1) The specialized course Nanyang Polytechnic Workshop won the third prize of the 2019 GAFA Teaching Achievement Award;

(2) Works of teachers and students Guangdong’s Energy, Sailing and The Legend of Guangdong won the first prize of the Creative Lighting Works Competition of Guangzhou International Light Festival in 2014, 2015 and 2018. Flower Clock won the third prize in 2018 Singapore International Light Festival;

(3) The student’s work Return to the Lost World won the Moving Image Art Award of the 2020 “Think Youth” International Digital Creation, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition New Media Art Section; Cultural and Creative Lighting Design with Lingnan Elements Based on 3D Printing Technology was selected as the 2020 National Undergraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program project; Bubble Machine was selected as a key project of science and technology innovation cultivation of Guangdong University Students Climbing Plan in 2018, and won 1 utility model patent.
