2026年4月28日上午,英国格拉斯哥美术学院创新与技术学院院长Gordon Hush教授一行到我校访问交流。广州美术学院副院长蔡拥华,国际交流合作部部长、湾区创新学院院长伍端教授,渡边诚教授等参加了座谈会。
On the morning of April 28, 2026, Professor Gordon Hush, Head of the Innovation and Technology School at the Glasgow School of Art, and his delegation visited Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. Vice President Cai Yonghua, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office and Dean of the Innovation School of Greater Bay Area Professor Wu Duan, and Professor Watanabe Makoto attended the meeting.
座谈会上,蔡拥华对Gordon Hush一行的到来表示热烈欢迎。他表示,广州美术学院作为华南地区唯一独立建制的高等美术院校,一直致力于培养面向未来艺术创新的国际化人才,为区域文化创新、艺术传播及产业发展贡献力量。他表示,格拉斯哥美术学院的办学理念与广美高度契合,希望双方以此次访问为契机,探索更多合作方向,实现更深层次的学术共鸣。
At the meeting, Cai Yonghua extended a warm welcome to Professor Hush and his delegation. He noted that Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, as the only independently established higher art institution in South China, has long been committed to cultivating internationally-minded talents for future-oriented artistic innovation, contributing to regional cultural innovation, art dissemination, and industry development. He added that the educational philosophy of Glasgow School of Art aligns closely with that of GAFA, and he hopes this visit will serve as an opportunity to explore further collaboration and achieve deeper academic resonance.

Gordon Hush expressed his gratitude for the warm reception. He highlighted Glasgow School of Art’s long-standing history in fine arts and architecture and noted that, in light of future technological developments, there are broad opportunities for collaboration with Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in innovative design and interdisciplinary projects.
4月30日,Gordon Hush在广州美术学院湾区创新学院作题为《发明、创新、管理:产品之后的设计》的讲座。他分享了创新与技术学院的办学理念、典型项目、学术架构及合作伙伴关系,并强调学院在传统消费品设计基础上,正向服务设计、互动设计与体验创新进行拓展,展示了学院面向未来的教学与研究方向。
On April 30, Gordon Hush delivered a lecture titled “Invention, Innovation, Stewardship: Design after Products” at the Innovation School of GBA. He shared the educational philosophy, flagship projects, academic structure, and partnerships of the Innovation and Technology School. He also emphasized the School’s evolution from traditional consumer product design toward service design, interactive design, and experience creation, showcasing its forward-looking approach to teaching and research.
