10月8日下午，英国诺维奇艺术大学副校长Ben Stopher教授、国际交流处处长何铭业一行到我校访问交流。广州美术学院副院长蔡拥华，国际合作与交流处处长、湾区创新学院院长伍端等参加了座谈会。

On the Afternoon of October 8, Professor Ben Stopher, Vice President of Norwich University of the Arts, and He Mingye, Director of the International Exchange Office, visited Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. Cai Yonghua, Vice President of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, and Wu Duan, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office and Dean of the Innovation School of GBA, attended the symposium.

蔡拥华对Ben一行表示热烈欢迎。他表示，地处粤港澳大湾区的广州美术学院是中国八大美院之一，与广州的文化底蕴、历史人文有着很深的渊源，对多元文化也有着很强的包容性。希望通过本次交流，能开启广州美术学院与诺维奇艺术大学的合作新篇章，促进东西方智慧的融合，为双方带来新的启发和思考。

Cai Yonghua extended a warm welcome to Ben and Mr. He. He said that Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, located in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, is one of the eight major art academies in China, and has a deep connection with Guangzhou's cultural heritage, history and humanities, and is also very open-minded for multiculturalism. He hoped that this meeting would open a new chapter of cooperation between Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and Norwich University of the Arts, promote the integration of Eastern and Western wisdom, and bring new inspiration and thinking to both sides.

Ben Stopher对我校的热情接待表示感谢，很高兴能来到美丽的广州。英国诺维奇艺术大学有着约180年的艺术教育史，在文化创意领域有着领先地位。希望通过与广州美术学院的交流，促进东西方文化的碰撞与融合，为两校师生交流创造新的发展契机，为未来的合作奠定基础。

Ben Stopher expressed his gratitude for the warm reception from GAFA and said he was very happy to visit the beautiful Guangzhou city. The Norwich University of the Arts in the UK has a history of art education of about 180 years and has a leading position in the field of cultural creativity. He hoped that through exchanges with Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, he could promote the collision and integration of Eastern and Western cultures, create new development opportunities for exchanges between teachers and students of the two schools, and lay the foundation for future cooperation.

双方就办学理念、专业教学法等方面进行了深入探讨。下午，Ben Stopher教授在湾区创新学院举办了《计算工具，人工智能，创造力和自主性》讲座，与同学们分享国际前沿的思想理念。

The two schools conducted in-depth discussions on school philosophy, professional teaching methods, etc. In the afternoon, Professor Ben Stopher held a lecture on "Computational Tools, AI, Creativity and Agency" at the Innovation School of GBA, sharing international cutting-edge ideas with students.
