广州美术学院党委书记谢昌晶主持大会，院长范勃作主题发言。中国文学艺术界联合会、中国美术家协会、中国美术馆、广东省文学艺术界联合会、广东省退役军人事务厅、广东省应急管理厅、佛山市人民政府、中央美术学院、中国美术学院、中山大学、华南理工大学等各级党委政府、兄弟院校、单位发来了70封贺信贺函贺电，对广美建校70周年表示热烈祝贺，对学校办学成就给予充分肯定，对学校改革发展致以美好祝福。

谢昌晶在主持讲话中向长期以来关心、支持学校发展的上级领导、各级党委政府、各相关部门、兄弟院校、社会各界人士、海内外校友表示衷心的感谢！他指出，70年来，广州美术学院始终秉承“守正创新、开放包容、关注现实、服务社会”的办学理念，牢牢扎根中国大地办教育，先后为社会培育了5万余名高素质艺术人才，为服务国家战略和社会经济发展作出了重大贡献。站在新的历史起点上，广州美术学院将依托博士点和佛山新校区建设，构建湾区艺术创新系统，持续推进人才培养、科研创作、社会服务高质量发展，弘扬优良传统，更加凝心聚力，奋力开创新局，朝着建设“特色鲜明、国际一流艺术类大学”的目标迈进，为中国高等教育贡献新的“广美经验”，为中华民族伟大复兴贡献更多的“广美力量”。

In his speech, Xie Changjing expressed his heartfelt thanks to the superior leaders, party committees and governments at all levels, relevant departments, fraternal universities, people from all walks of life, and alumni at home and abroad who have long cared for and supported the development of the university. He pointed out that over the past 70 years, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts has always adhered to the school-running philosophy of "integrity and innovation, openness and inclusiveness, attention to reality and service to society", firmly rooted in China's land of education, and has cultivated more than 50,000 high-level art talents for the society, making significant contributions to serving the national strategy and social and economic development. Standing at a new starting point of history, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts will rely on the construction of the doctoral program and the new campus in Foshan, build an art innovation system in the Bay Area, continue to promote the high-quality development of talent training, scientific research and creation, and social services, carry forward the fine tradition, concentrate more and strive to create a new bureau, and march toward the goal of building a "first-class international art university with distinctive characteristics". It will contribute new "GAFA experience" to China's higher education and more "GAFA strength" to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

范勃代表学校向长久以来关心和支持广美发展的社会各界人士表示感谢，向各个历史时期为学校竭诚奉献的一代代教职员工致以崇高的敬意，向遍布海内外的校友们致以诚挚的问候。他指出，1953年11月19日在武汉市武昌区解放路309号成立的中南美术专科学校，承接了广东、湖北、广西三省艺术教育资源的学校。南迁广州更名为广州美术学院后，作为华南地区唯一一所独立建制的高等美术学府，广美人乘着改革开放的东风，为中国现代美术与设计教育的迅猛发展贡献出了宝贵的“广美经验”。进入新时代，学校积极回应科技浪潮和“双区”战略，建构起艺术、科技、产业协同创新、融合发展、双向赋能的跨学科发展新模式。如今，已形成“一校三区”办学格局的广美，已拥有33个本科专业、7个硕士学位点、3个博士学位点的广美，业已成为粤港澳大湾区乃至中国艺术学术的重要地标。

On behalf of the university, Fan Bo expressed gratitude to people from all walks of life who have long cared for and supported the development of GAFA, paid high tribute to generations of faculty and staff who have dedicated themselves to the university in various historical periods, and extended sincere greetings to alumni all over the world. He pointed out that Zhongnan Academy of Fine Arts, which was established on November 19, 1953 at No. 309 Jiefang Road, Wuchang District, Wuhan, inherited the art education resources of Guangdong, Hubei and Guangxi provinces. After moving south to Guangzhou and changing its name to Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, as the only independent hight institution of fine arts in South China, GAFA took advantage of the east wind of reform and opening up and contributed valuable "GAFA experience" to the rapid development of modern fine arts and design education in China. Entering the new era, the university has actively responded to the wave of science and technology and the strategy of "dual regions", and constructed a new model of interdisciplinary development featuring collaborative innovation, integrated development and two-way empowering of art, science and technology and industry. Today, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts has formed a "one university and three campuses" school-running pattern, with 33 undergraduate majors, 7 master programs and 3 doctoral programs, and has become an important landmark of art scholarship in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and even in China.

范勃强调，70年卓著建设成就，属于每一位扎根广美的广美人，属于每一位心系广美的广美人！他提议大家把热烈的掌声献给每一位为之奋斗过的广美人。

Fan Bo stressed that the outstanding construction achievements in the past 70 years belong to every staff and alumni who takes root in GAFA and cares deeply about GAFA! He proposed that everyone give warm applause to every staff and alumni who has fought for it.

范勃表示，“惟实励新”这一出自《礼记·儒行》的语汇，是对70年来广美精神的高度概括与凝练，学校将继续传承惟实励新的广美精神，主动服务区域发展，承担提升区域文化重任，进一步建构好“湾区艺术创新系统”；自觉心系国之大者，担负文化创新的历史使命，用艺术的方式研究与回答时代命题；积极探索链接世界，探讨创变未来的无限可能，在担当中华民族伟大复兴大任。

Fan Bo said that the phrase "to uphold pragmatism and boost innovation", which comes from the Book of Rites · Ruxing, is a high generalization and condensation of the GAFA spirit in the past 70 years. The school will continue to inherit it and take the initiative to serve the regional development, undertake the responsibility of improving the regional culture, and further construct the "Bay Area Art Innovation System". We consciously care about the country, undertake the historical mission of cultural innovation, and study and answer the propositions of The Times in an artistic way; Actively explore the links between the world, explore the infinite possibilities of creating a changing future, and assume the great responsibility of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

校友代表曹斐表示，其父亲曹崇恩教授从教于广美雕塑系，母亲廖慧兰教授从教于广美附中，自己和两位姐姐均毕业于广美，今天很激动能和老师、家人和校友们带着回忆、感恩和祝福参加母校70周年校庆。她表示，遍布世界各地、各行各业的广美校友，传承发扬学校优良传统，以卓越的成就和社会责任感为母校赢得声誉，为中国的艺术文化事业贡献力量，期望母校继续打破各专业、学科壁垒，加强艺术与科技的联结，培养出更多具有创新精神、人文关怀和国际竞争力的艺术人才。她相信广美的未来将更加多元、开放且辉煌，新老校友们一同继续互勉，开拓出不断延伸的地平线，让广美的声音在全球范围内回响。

Alumni representative Cao Fei said that her father Professor Cao Chongen taught in Sculpture Department, her mother Professor Liao Huilan taught in the Affiliated High School, and she and her two sisters all graduated from GAFA. Today, she is very excited to participate in the 70th anniversary celebration of the Alma mater with memories, gratitude and blessings from teachers, family and alumni. She said that the alumni from all over the world and all walks of life carry forward the fine traditions of GAFA, win the reputation of GAFA with outstanding achievements and social responsibility, and contribute to the cause of art and culture in China. She hoped that GAFA will continue to break the barriers of various majors and disciplines and strengthen the connection between art and science and technology to cultivate more artistic talents with innovative spirit, humanistic care and international competitiveness. She believes that the future of GAFA will be more diverse, open and brilliant, and the old and new alumni will continue to encourage each other to open up an ever-extending horizon, so that the voice of GAFA will reverberate around the world.

教师代表齐喆回忆了初次来到母校的温暖场景，以及胡一川、杨秋人、阳太阳、关山月、黎雄才、王肇民、高永坚、迟轲、陈少丰、郑爽等广美名师大家和一件件抚慰人心、给人力量的艺术作品。他表示，广美教师们用坚持不懈的意志，努力在华南这片红土地上，营造出亚热带郁郁苍苍、繁茂锦绣的生态系统，让所有后学在这片沃土上生根发芽，自由生长。最后，他把“阳春布德泽，万物生光辉”“潮平两岸阔，风正一帆悬”这些美好愿景献给学习、工作、生活了30年的母校，献给所有包容、平等、务实、温暖、开拓的广美人。

Teacher representative Qi Zhe recalled the warm scene of his first visit to GAFA, as well as the soothing and empowering works of art by famous GAFA teachers such as Hu Yichuan, Yang Qiuren, Yang Yang, Guan Shanyue, Li Xiongcai, Wang Zhaomin, Gao Yongjian, Chi Ke, Chen Shaofeng and Zheng Shuang. He said that the teachers of GAFA have made unremitting efforts to create a lush, luxuriant and splendid ecosystem on the red land of South China, so that all the later students can take root and sprout in this fertile soil and grow freely. Finally, he dedicated the beautiful vision of "sunny spring, all things are shining" and "the tide is flat on both sides, the wind is in full sail" to his Alma Mater, in which he has been studying, working and living for 30 years, and to all staff and alumni who are inclusive, equal, pragmatic, warm and pioneering.

学生代表董剑晶表示，从踏入广美的第一天起，学校的深厚底蕴与红色血脉就深深植入同学们的心田；“与时代大潮同行，与国家发展同步”就成为同学们的目光所向。未来的舞台从广美开始，明天的梦想从广美点亮。祝愿母校越办越好！

Student representative Dong Jianjing said that from the first day when he stepped into GAFA, the profound foundation and red blood of the school were deeply implanted in the hearts of students; "walking with the tide of The Times and synchronizing with the development of the country" has become the students' vision.
