12月4日上午，由广州美术学院主办的“多元多维•互通互鉴：全球湾区艺术与科技教育发展论坛”在广美大学城校区启幕。
On the morning of December 4th, the " Global Bay Areas Education Development Forum on Art & Technology " hosted by Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts kicked off at GAFA University City Campus.
当下，全球约60%的经济体量来自港口海湾地带及其直接腹地，湾区经济已成为国际经济版图中的亮点，纽约湾区、旧金山湾区、东京湾区，以及粤港澳大湾区，在引领世界科技创新和社会经济文化发展中，扮演了越来越重要的角色。作为庆祝广州美术学院建校70周年的一次大型国际性学术活动，本次论坛以“多元多维、互通互鉴”为主题，邀请了来自四大湾区不同领域、不同行业的专家学者齐聚一堂，以多主体参与、多角色对话的形式，把艺术、科技、教育放置在一个更多元维度的语境中探讨交流，汇聚湾区艺术、科技、教育智慧，洞见湾区产业、社会、发展趋向，探索艺术与科技教育发展新路径。这也是广美作为全球四大湾区中的重要高校，努力推动粤港澳大湾区艺术教育从粤港澳三地“同框合作”进一步走向国际舞台的一次开放性探索。
Today, about 60% of the global economy comes from the Bay Area and its immediate hinterland. The Bay Area economy has become a bright spot in the international economic landscape. The New York Bay Area, the San Francisco Bay Area, the Tokyo Bay Area and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area play an increasingly important role in leading the world's scientific and technological innovation and social, economic and cultural development. As a large-scale international academic event to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, the forum, with the theme of "Diversity and Connectivity", invited experts and scholars from different fields and industries from the four Bay Areas to gather together in the form of multi-participant and multi-role dialogue. To discuss and exchange art, science and technology and education in a more multi-dimensional context, bring together the wisdom of art, science and technology and education in the Bay Area, gain insight into the industry, society and development trend of the Bay Area, and explore a new path for the development of art and science and technology education. This is also an open exploration by GAFA, as an important university among the four major Bay areas in the world, to promote art education in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area from "co-framework cooperation" among Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao to the international arena.
论坛为期两天，来自中国工程院、美国欧林工程学院、广州美术学院、南方科技大学、香港科技大学、美国微软公司、美国旧金山亚洲艺术博物馆、华为2012实验室UCD与翻译中心、香港科技大学（广州）、日本设计学会、广汽集团汽车工程研究院、日本武藏野美术大学、日本千叶大学、华南理工大学、澳门科技大学、广东工业大学等全球四大湾区代表性高等院校和科研院所、著名艺术机构和组织、知名国际企业共15位知名学者与行业精英，分别围绕“人文湾区”“科技湾区”“产业湾区”的建设，就艺术与教育、视觉与科技、产业与社会3个议题进行深入交流。
The forum lasted for two days. From Chinese Academy of Engineering, Olin College of Engineering, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, Southern University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Microsoft Corporation, Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, UCD and TSC at Huawei 2012 Labs, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), Japanese Society for the Science of Design, GAC R&D Center, Musashino Art University, Chiba University, South China University of Technology, Macau University of Science and Technology, Guangzhou University of Technology, a total of 15 well-known scholars and industry elites from representative institutions of higher learning and research institutes, famous art institutions and organizations, and well-known international enterprises in the world's four Bay areas, focusing on the construction of the "Humanities Bay Area", "Science and Technology Bay Area" and "Industry Bay Area", conducted in-depth exchanges on three topics: art and education, vision and technology, and industry and society.

In her opening speech, Lin LAN, on behalf of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, warmly welcomed the guest scholars and online experts attending the forum. She pointed out that in recent years, based on the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts has actively responded to the wave of science and technology and the strategy of "dual zones", explored and constructed a new model of interdisciplinary high-quality talent training featuring collaborative innovation, integrated development and two-way enabling of art, science and technology and industry, and actively contributed to the development of modern fine arts and design education in China. At present, the new round of global scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation have brought unprecedented development opportunities. Art and technology education involves many industries and fields, covering many disciplines, and is a very cross-boundary and open subject. The four major bay areas in the world are important growth poles to promote the development of the world economy, the first places to lead the technological change, and the best experimental fields to discuss the above issues. We look forward to your joint efforts to promote higher art education to a higher level and higher quality.

On the first morning of the forum, the topic is "Art and Education". Starting from the national strategic needs and social development needs in the new historical context, Fan Bo deeply discussed the future intervention of China's higher art education around the two keywords of "local experience" and "systems thinking", pointing out that Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, located in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, has important local responsibilities and actively serves the national "dual-region" strategy. It is GAFA's mission to actively respond to the wave of scientific and technological revolution and industrial change. Based on the in-depth thinking of the system concept, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts is striving to build the "Bay Area Art Innovation System", promoting the formation of six dynamic innovation clusters: social technology innovation, art technology industry, art urban and rural construction, cultural heritage protection, cultural creative life and visual culture communication to explore the innovative development path of high frequency and deep resonance between art higher education and national and regional social, economic and cultural development. This is not only the regional and local action guide, but also the vision of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts for the future, for the world and for the Chinese-style modernization construction.
