毕业季展览，是一次集体发声。今年的广美毕业展，共有来自不同专业背景的1585位本科生、431位研究生一起创意合奏。在学校“关注现实、服务社会”教学导向与“惟实励新”的优良学风的浸润下，依托“创新赋能”的教学体系，2025届毕业生们的作品呈现出回归生活现场，回应现实问题的总体倾向。
Degree Show is a collective showcase of voices from graduating students. This year’s GAFA Degree Show will be a creative symphony of 1,585 undergraduate and 431 postgraduate students from diverse academic backgrounds. Guided by GAFA’s teaching philosophy of engaging with reality and contributing to society and its ethos of rigorous practice and relentless innovation, the class of 2025 will present works characterized by a profound immersion in everyday life and a thoughtful response to real-world problems out of an innovation-powered educational framework.
第二期自6月3日开展，将持续至6月12日，在广州美术学院大学城美术馆展出了建筑艺术设计学院、工业设计学院（工业与交互设计系、产品设计系、艺术设计系）、视觉艺术设计学院（视觉传达设计、艺术与科技、数字媒体艺术）、城市学院的本科生毕业创作；在广州美术学院美术馆（昌岗校区）、岭南画派纪念馆展出了中国画学院、美术教育学院、马克思主义学院、视觉艺术设计学院的研究生毕业创作。
The second phase started on June 3 and will last until June 12. "Resilience" is the keyword of the 2025 GAFA School of Architecture & Applied Arts Graduation Exhibition, conveying the school's thinking on the future of architecture in an environment full of uncertainty : how to transcend design practice, grow in changing situations, and move forward under challenges.
“韧性”是一种应对现实张力的方式，也是一种在不确定时代中持续前行的能力——在柔软中保持力量，在变化中寻找秩序。建筑艺术设计学院六大工作室的210本科毕业生的136件作品在空间拓扑、数字转译、消费跨界、技术融合、隐喻场域与非遗活化等多重探索中建立当下与未来的链接，以“韧性”的表达展现穿透周期的底气。
"Resilience" is a way to cope with the tensions of reality and the ability to keep moving forward in uncertain times — maintaining strength amidst flexibility and finding order amidst change. 136 works by 210 undergraduate graduates from six studios at the School of Architecture & Applied Arts connect the present and the future through diverse explorations of spatial topology, digital translation, cross-border consumption, technological integration, metaphorical sites, and the revitalization of intangible cultural heritage. Through this expression of resilience, they demonstrate the confidence to persevere through cycles .

“青年的声音”从来不是简单的个体表达，而是对时代的回应、对传统的解构、对未来的叩问。不同维度的表达共奏出的交响正构成盛大的景观，触达和贯通视听的通道，而进入思维的旷野。在UI界面此起彼伏的提示音里，在工业产品运转的机械韵律中，在空间场域无形的声学轮廓上，工业设计学院毕业生们如何赋予世界全新的设计语法？
The "voice of youth" is never simply an individual expression; it is a response to the times, a deconstruction of tradition, and a questioning of the future. The symphony of diverse expressions creates a grand spectacle, reaching and penetrating the visual and auditory channels, and entering the wilderness of thought. In the chorus of user interface notifications, in the mechanical rhythms of industrial products, and in the invisible acoustic contours of spatial fields, how are graduates of industrial design schools giving the world a new design grammar?
传统与根脉是声音的基调。让古老智慧在当代语境中“再发声”，扎根于文化的土壤创造力，应借助同学们之手得以表达。
Tradition and roots are the foundation of our voice. Letting ancient wisdom "resonate" in a contemporary context, and expressing creativity rooted in the soil of culture, should be done through the hands of our students.
批判与关怀是声音的锋芒。设计不是粉饰现实的工具，艺术不应沦为流量的附庸。有锐度的思考，应借助同学们之手得以彰显。
Criticism and concern are the sharp edge of our voices. Design is not a tool for euphemised reality, and art should not be reduced to a vassal of traffic. Sharp thinking should be showcased through the hands of our students.
跨界与交融是声音的未来。远方的疆域边界模糊，打破知识壁垒后“杂交”出的成果，应借助同学们之手得以呈现。
Cross-border integration and fusion are the future of sound. The boundaries of distant territories are blurred, and the results of "hybridization" after breaking down knowledge barriers should be presented through the hands of students.

The 2025 Graduation Project Exhibition of the School of Visual Arts Design takes "Going to the Sea" as its theme and "sea" as its clue, sensing the surging spring tide of the integrated development of the Bay Area, responding to the huge wave of science and technology driven by AI intelligence, responding to the trend of cultural revival of upholding the truth and innovating, and echoing the local cultural context of millennia of maritime trade. It integrates the professional advantages of the school with the concept of "big vision" and integrates it into the school's "Bay Area Art Innovation System" plan, breaking down professional and technical barriers, cross-border reorganization, and merging into a blue and vast "ocean", fully contributing to the high-quality development of the marine cultural economy of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
策展突破往年以专业为划分展馆的展出模式，首次提出以“大视觉”理念统筹串联视觉传达设计、数字媒体和艺术与科技三个专业(第二期展出)，重点突出“视觉”“信息”“媒介”“传播”等关键词，以“赶海”为主题整合四个展厅的内容与展品，采用整体规划、整体推进、整体布展的形式，进一步打破专业界限，促进学科间的交叉融合。
The curatorial approach breaks through the previous exhibition model of dividing exhibition halls by majors, and for the first time proposes the concept of "big vision" to coordinate and link the three majors of visual communication design, digital media, and art and technology (the second phase of the exhibition), focusing on key words such as "vision", "information", "media", and "communication". The content and exhibits of the four exhibition halls are integrated with the theme of "going to the sea", and the form of overall planning, overall promotion, and overall exhibition is adopted to further break the boundaries between majors and promote cross-disciplinary integration.
同时，策展还以“产教融合”作为毕设指导的底层逻辑，引导学生创作符合国家发展战略，服务于大湾区海洋文化经济发展需求的毕设作品。指引学生围绕海洋文化、海丝文化、海洋生态、海洋科技、海洋产业、海洋文旅等方向进行毕设选题，并与湾区内多家相关企业达成合作计划，以真实项目带动毕设落地，以“产学研用”为导向。毕设整体策划以产业为依托、以创意为引擎、以艺术为底色，助力海洋文化经济高质量发展，赋能传统海洋经济向新型蓝色经济转型升级。
At the same time, the curatorial team also uses "industry-education integration" as the underlying logic for final project guidance, guiding students to create final projects that align with national development strategies and serve the needs of the Greater Bay Area's marine cultural and economic development. Students are guided to select topics related to marine culture, Maritime Silk Road culture, marine ecology, marine science and technology, marine industry, and marine tourism. The "Habitat · Rebirth" project in Chengbei Town, Meizhou City, revitalizes traditional settlements through artistic intervention, transforming Hakka architectural wisdom into contemporary living scenarios. The "Mountain and Water · Integration" plan in Yanqian Village, Zhaoqing City, reshapes waterfront public spaces, fostering a harmonious coexistence of natural landscape and community life. The "Ink and Water · Chunwan" concept in Chunwan Town, Yangchun City, systematically zoning cultural, leisure, and commercial functions by integrating and enhancing the five lakes. 距离1981年中国画系（中国画学院前身）第一届硕士研究生毕业，已经过去了整整四十四载春秋。岭南画学开枝散叶，传承有序，“学脉旁分，攀援日众”，直面生活的艺术主张从未改变过。2025年的研究生毕业展，像极了一位熟悉的老朋友，在端午节前后如约而至。中国画学院的三十三位研究生毕业班同学，经历了数月的钻研与打磨，交出了他们的毕业答卷。
A full forty-four years have passed since the first graduate class of the Chinese Painting Department(the predecessor of the School of Chinese Painting) graduated in 1981. Lingnan painting has flourished, its traditions well-established, its "branching off and multiplying" traditions unwavering, its artistic commitment to confronting life head-on. The 2025 graduate student exhibition, like a familiar old friend, arrived as planned around the Dragon Boat Festival. After months of dedicated research, the 33 graduate students from the School of Chinese Painting presented their graduation works.
美好的青春，好似“璀璨的夏日之花”，在骄阳下怒放。多么想停下匆匆赶路的脚步，在记忆里永远留住与老师们、同学们欢聚的每时每刻。时光荏苒，岁月流转，艺术人生本是一场苦旅，艺术创作者仿佛跋涉中的旅人。“旅人倚征棹，薄暮起劳歌”。同学们在读研期间，可谓品尝了旅途中的酸甜苦辣，心志受其苦，筋骨受其劳。“劳歌”的咏唱，正是绘画作品中悠长的低吟，激昂的渲泄，烟岚云岫的心醉，琐碎日常的温情，辽阔夜空的凝视，漫溢出思想的点点星光。
The beauty of youth is like a "bright summer flower," blooming in the blazing sun. How I long to pause my hurried pace and capture every moment of joy with my teachers and classmates in my memory. Time flies, and the artistic life is inherently an arduous journey, and artists are like travelers on this trek. "The traveler leans on his oar, and at dusk rises a song of labor." During their graduate studies, students have tasted the bittersweet joys and sorrows of the journey, their hearts and minds suffering, their muscles and bones toiling. The recitation of this "song of labor" is precisely the lingering murmur and passionate outpouring of emotion in their paintings. The enchantment of mist and clouds, the warmth of daily life and the gaze upon the vast night sky reflect the sparkling light of thought.

This exhibition further expands its scope by featuring an educational internship exhibition and public art education activities. Visitors can not only admire the works but also participate in interactive sessions, witnessing the students' innovative thinking and practical skills during the teaching process. This demonstrates the deep integration of artistic and pedagogical skills in art education, highlighting the multiple roles and responsibilities of educators. 艺术与设计的学院教育，作为通过知识生产而促成自身再生产的场域，也像海一般，季复一季、年复一年地在重复与践行着新陈代谢、革故鼎新的使命，也就有了每一年可供观察时代与社会、更可观测专业变化的“毕业展”——另一种“观海”的体验。
Art and design college education, as a field that promotes its own reproduction through knowledge production, is like the sea, repeating and practicing its mission of metabolism and innovation season after season and year after year. This is why there is an annual "graduation exhibition" that allows us to observe the times and society, and even more so, to observe changes in the major - another experience of "viewing the sea".
正如不同层次的海域会有迥异的风景，视觉艺术设计学院研究生展也呈现出与本科生展不同的风景：其一在广，其二在深。广在于其视野、方法、方向乃至立足点的多元跨界，呈现设计作为（as）研究的技术路线和方法论逻辑；深在于其过程、学理、思辨以及执行度和完整性，展示清晰地通过（through）研究推进设计的前提条件与进路。这都是研究生能力的考察点，也可以视为“观海”的门道。
Just as the scenery at different levels of the ocean varies, the School of Visual Arts Design graduate student exhibition presents a different landscape from that of undergraduate students: first, in breadth, and second, in depth. Breadth lies in the diverse and interdisciplinary nature of its vision, methods, directions, and even standpoints, presenting the technical routes and methodological logic of design as research; depth lies in its process, theory, critical thinking, execution, and integrity, clearly demonstrating the prerequisites and approaches for advancing design through research. These are all key points that assess graduate students' abilities and can be considered gateways to "Viewing the Sea".
这次毕业展，学院首次以完整面貌独享修葺一新的虽娇小但玲珑的岭南画派纪念馆。画派以岭南为名，实则有着更远大的抱负和应时代而变的改革先锋之勇气。无他，只因为先生们受到东洋、西洋、南洋等世界艺术观念与技法的冲击并感应于此，乘势弄潮，开一门新风，奠定中国画传统变革的范式。
For this graduation exhibition, the School presents the first complete exhibition of the newly renovated, small yet exquisite Memorial Hall of Lingnan School of Painting. While the school bears the name Lingnan, it actually embodies a far greater ambition and the courage of a pioneering reformer adapting to the changing times. This is simply because the masters, inspired by artistic concepts and techniques from across the world, including Eastern, Western, and Southeast Asian cultures, seized upon these trends, pioneered a new style, and established a paradigm for the transformation of traditional Chinese painting.
2025年度视觉艺术设计学院本科生展以“赶海”为主题，透着一股热闹欢腾投入的气氛；而研究生展以“观海”为主题，相对就冷静与克制一些，这也是对不同类型展览观看体验与期待的一种预设。
The 2025 School of Visual Arts Design undergraduate exhibition is themed "Going to the Sea," exuding a lively and joyful atmosphere; while the graduate exhibition, themed "Viewing the Sea", is relatively calm and restrained, reflecting a presupposition of viewing experiences and expectations for different types of exhibitions.
